"Luclin is the most ambitious addition yet to a collection of massively multiplayer experiences that combine to form one of the greatest online games of all time -- EverQuest," said Scott McDaniel, Vice President of Marketing, Sony Online Entertainment. "There is an astonishing amount of new content added in this expansion and we're confident gamers everywhere will find Luclin truly amazing."

EverQuest players will have the opportunity to experience the feline grace and fierce power of the Vah Shir, the all-new playable character race in Luclin. The Vah Shir are agile warriors and silent stalkers fighting for the honor of their king and kin. This new catlike race allows players to hunt the dark side of Luclin with their excellent night vision.

With the latest addition of rideable mounts in Norrath, EverQuest players will now be able to purchase a horse of their own in designated locations and summon their horse with the aid of a magical whistle. This will allow players to traverse greater distances in shorter periods of time and even battle from their mounts.

EverQuest: The Shadows of Luclin will launch with an additional CD-ROM featuring a complete upgrade to all textures throughout the original world of Norrath and all previous expansions. This texture upgrade will allow EverQuest players to view Norrath with unparalleled clarity and beauty, enriching the overall gameplay experience.

EverQuest: The Shadows of Luclin features:
-- An all-new continent to explore set on the moon of Luclin. The moon of
Luclin is in perfect balance -- one side bathed forever in light, and
the other blanketed in darkest night
