Mary Coller Promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sony Pictures Digital's SoapCity

Mary Coller has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of SoapCity ( www.soapcity.com ), "The Soap Opera Capital of the World®." Building on her previous post as SoapCity's VP and GM, Coller will continue to oversee all aspects of SoapCity; including its day-to-day operations, business development, production and brand marketing, and will further her efforts to make daytime drama an anytime commodity through digital delivery of rich content. Coller reports to Patrick Kennedy, Sony Pictures Digital's executive vice president.

She has played a pivotal role in syndicating versions of SoapCity's soap content to media giants such as AOL Time-Warner and Yahoo! Inc., and has taken the brand into the SoapCity Store online boutique as well as into events such as SoapCity LIVE!, a soap opera convention bringing fans and celebrities together at Harrah's Entertainment's Showboat: The Mardi Gras Casino. Before joining Sony Pictures Digital, Coller was vice president and co- founder of Beatnik Inc., an interactive audio software and music development company she started with musician Thomas Dolby. Coller was responsible for taking the company through creative concept, to raising venture capital, and onto maintaining the day-to-day operations, finance, marketing, publicity and staff. In addition, she developed, negotiated and oversaw all business relationships for Beatnik, including deals with such major technology companies as Netscape, Microsoft's WebTV, Sun Microsystems and others. Prior to Beatnik, Coller managed the careers of musicians and artists as the owner of Mary Coller Management, a personal management company she established in 1990.
