Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. announced today that Pursuit Force™ is now available exclusively for the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) System. Developed by Bigbig Studios, Ltd., Pursuit Force delivers Hollywood-style movie action to the small screen with high-speed vehicle chases, exciting stunts, and thrilling shootouts, all in the quest to bring criminal gangs to justice and restore peace throughout Capital City. The highly anticipated title features an inventive gameplay element where players perilously leap from vehicle to vehicle at speeds of more than 150 MPH, inciting non-stop action during the entire game.

In Pursuit Force, each of the 30 action-packed criminal cases features a variety of gameplay elements, including high-speed pursuit, on-foot action, and aerial assaults on ground targets. Throughout the game, players will have access to more than 50 vehicles, including sports cars, motorcycles, SUVs, and high-powered speedboats for chases through city highways and off-road paths as well as metropolitan waterways and scenic, canyon-lined rivers. More than 10 types of weapons will be at the player's disposal, providing run and gun combat through gang territories and city streets. If action by land and sea is not enough, players will take to the air and control a helicopter mini-gun for aerial missions.

"Leaping between vehicles while racing at high speed is something gamers have never experienced before, and response to this innovative feature has been overwhelmingly positive," said Susan Nourai, director, online and product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "That is just one of the heart-pounding features that makes Pursuit Force a truly original action-adventure IP. Combined with Hollywood-worthy stunts and fast-paced gameplay, this title is a must have for PSP owners that live for the adrenaline rush of intense action."

As five notorious gangs run rampant throughout Capital City, tension in the community is at an all-time high and the Chief is slowly losing control. Following police protocol has not worked, and the city is desperate for results. Pursuit Force introduces a white-knuckle police action thriller where players take control of a rookie officer recruited to lead a special unit called the Pursuit Force, and take down the five notorious gangs of Capital City. As part of this new police unit, players will track down each of the deadly gangs and incorporate unconventional tactics to overcome the impending criminal threat. Each gang in Capital City has a specific agenda and each must be brought to justice. The Killer 66 bring their brutal brand of Far-Eastern violence to the streets, while the Capellis are steeped in the Mafia underworld. The Convicts, fresh from a prison break, disregard all laws and threaten innocent lives in their quest to gain ultimate freedom. The Warlords wreak havoc on the city in their quest for power and to push their political agendas. The Vixens, a group of ex-Hollywood stunt girls, have chosen a life of crime to pay for their lavish lifestyles.

The title gained critical acclaim at the 2005 E3 show, earning the IGN 2005 E3 award for "PSP Game of the Show" and "Best PSP Action Game," as well as receiving a GameSpot 2005 E3 Editors' Choice Award as the "Best PSP Game" and a nomination for "Game of the Show."

The independent Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has rated Pursuit Force "T" for "Teen." For more information about the ESRB, please visit www.esrb.org.
