The rapidly-rising young Boston pop/rock band Boys Like Girls -- Martin Johnson (vocals, guitar), Bryan Donahue (bass), John Keefe (drums), and Paul DiGiovanni (guitar) -- will open shows on the upcoming Hellogoodbye Tour beginning April 5 in Bakersfield, California, and wrapping up on May 4 in Hampton, New Hampshire.

Following the slots opening for Hellogoodbye, Boys Like Girls will perform shows during the entire Van's Warped Tour 2007 running from June 28 through August 25 (see full itinerary following).

The announcement of Boys Like Girls' upcoming concert itinerary comes hot on the heels of the group's recent win -- with more than 68% of the votes -- of Spin.com's coveted "Artist of the Year" honors. Boys Like Girls, one of Alternative Press's "100 Bands You Need To Know in 2007," has also been chosen for AOL "Breakers," with voting to begin on April 1.

"The Great Escape," the first single from Boys Like Girls' self-titled debut album, was one of America's Top 5 Most Added records at Top 40 during its first week at radio. The track has been added to more than 25 Top 40 stations coast-to-coast.

A spell-binding video for "The Great Escape," lensed by director Alan Ferguson (Fall Out Boy), premiered online on Yahoo! on February 27 and received 757,138 views within a month of being posted on YouTube. The groundbreaking video has been added to broadcast television and may be seen on the FUSE Network as well as MTV Hits, where it has been receiving between 15- 20 spins a week.

Produced by Matt Squire (Panic! At The Disco, Northstar, Hit The Lights), Boys Like Girls has spent 31 weeks on both the Billboard Heatseekers Top New Artist chart (peaking at #9) and the SoundScan Alternative New Artist Sales chart (peaking at #4).

Boys Like Girls has also been enjoying some incredible exposure online with more than 6.1 million total plays on the group's My Space page (myspace.com/boyslikegirls) where the band has logged nearly 2.9 million profile views and has been the site's #3 top-rated indie emo band. In addition, the band has been a Top 10 mainstay on Purevolume's Emo (currently #5) and Alternative (currently #10) artist charts since the album's release on August 22 on Red Ink/Columbia Records.

The Boys Like Girls homegrown video for "Hero/Heroine" has been viewed more than 3 million times during its six months on YouTube.
