The Ting Tings -- the entrancing pop/dance duo recently signed to Columbia Records and heralded in the UK by the NME as the "most exciting new band in the country" -- will return to America in June for a set of select club dates celebrating the release of We Started Nothing, one of the year's most eagerly-awaited album debuts.

The Ting Tings' June tour marks the band's first shows in the states since a small round of dates in March surrounding the duo's electrifying performances at the 2008 South By Southwest (SxSW) music festival.

Jon Pareles, covering SxSW for The New York Times (March 17,2008), singled out " ... the irresistibly catchy Ting Tings, a duo who ... pump out danceable riffs echoing the 1960's and 1970's ... ." while the New York Post (March 20, 2008) previewed the Ting Tings' Manhattan show at Le Royale with a color photo captioned "Fashionably loud: The most stylish Mancunian (that's from Manchester) import since Agyness Deyn, the Ting Tings' signature British cool-kid style makes them ones to watch, not just listen to. The group's single 'Great DJ' is the most popular indie track in the UK so far this year."

Spin.com (March 21, 2008) caught the Ting Tings' Chicago show and raved, "Fresh on the heels of SXSW, Manchester's newest Columbia signees the Ting Tings were all spunk-cheer last night (March 20) during a gig for budding fashion entrepreneurs in Chicago's warehouse district. As videos illustrating select designers' garments rolled, the Ting Tings commandeered an evening of brand-name chic and beat-infused networking. Mouthpiece Katie White maintained a high level of energy throughout the six-tune gig, grinding along to breakout single 'Great DJ' cuing sticksman Jules De Martino into the beat and chorus with her every move ... ."

Zeroing in on the Ting Tings' visual aesthetic, Women's Wear Daily (April 3, 2008) ran a three-page profile and photo spread on the band headlined "Next Big Tings" and "Do the Right Ting" sagely noting that the "Brit pop duo ... have their own sound, not to mention style to spare ... " and that "Their self-described DIY-garage-pop is an infectious concoction."

The Ting Tings will launch their latest North American tour with a performance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on June 6. MTV's "TRL" will give fans a "First Look" at the Ting Tings on April 16.

The Ting Tings were voted #3 on the BBC's "Top 10 To Watch In 2008," the much-watched list of emerging acts in the annual BBC 6 Music poll, Sound Of 2008, and have drawn unanimous raves from the UK music press:

full of staccato rhythms and girl group chants." -- Q Magazine

leaves us feeling more than a bit excited." -- NME

"The most exciting new band in the country" -- NME

international generation of pop-artists into the best party of 2008. Best
grab a brush then." -- NME

  "Irresistible electro-pop from Northern boy/girl duo" -- Bands of 2008 - Q
