Prepare for the Rise of Serkan™!

Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) announced today that development is under way on the 10th PoxNora expansion, Rise of Serkan. Scheduled for a May 20, 2009 release, Rise of Serkan adds more than 70 new runes, including new Hero runes and a new equipment set that can be converted into relics and back into equipment.

"With Rise of Serkan, we're adding six new epic Heroes to PoxNora, the most we have ever released in a single expansion. Also, for the first time ever, we will be making booster packs from past expansions available to all players," said Dan Kopycienski, director of development, SOE Tucson. "We're also excited to introduce equipment runes that provide a new strategic element to PoxNora battles."

Rise of Serkan features:

More than 70 New Runes - Rise of Serkan introduces more than 70 new runes to PoxNora, including 40 champions and 20 spells, as well as the long-awaited "Bunny Lord," another rune inspired by the PoxNora community.

New Equipment Mechanic - This expansion also introduces special equipment that can be transformed into relics, giving your allies an added bonus. These relics, in turn, can transform back into equipment.

New Campaign - Rise of Serkan will include one new campaign with four encounters. In this campaign, players will take part in the fight against Serkan.

More Avatar Experience - Rise of Serkan also features 10 more experience levels for avatars introduced in the last expansion.

In Rise of Serkan, the fallen Lich King Serkan has returned to claim his rightful place as the king of Elsarin, but his ambitions extend far beyond simply taking the throne. Using the power of the Utterdark - the potential to create, to destroy, to live forever and to die without consequence - Serkan will reshape the world according to his own whims and desires.
