NEW YORK, Dec. 14 Columbia Records/So So Def Recordings -- Lil Bow Wow is celebrating the in-store date of his eagerly-awaited new album Doggy Bag--the successor to his multi-platinum debut Beware Of Dog--with a special Fan Appreciation Concert at Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday, December 18. The first 3,000 Bow Wow fans arriving at the venue with own copy of Doggy Bag will be admitted to the Fan Appreciation Concert. FYE will be selling copies of Doggy Bag at the event. Lil Bow Wow will make his Grand Entrance to the concert at 5pm.
Fueled by his growing reputation as a master of rap, a potent chart force and a burgeoning teen idol, Lil Bow Wow in-store appearances in New York, Atlanta, and Chicago have resulted in pure pandemonium with thousands of fans gathering in each city to catch a glimpse of the new dog in town.
Bow Wow's career has been a series of history-making firsts since the release of Beware Of Dog in September 2000. He became the youngest musician to kick off the Grammy Awards as he stepped out to introduce Madonna's opening at this year's ceremony and is the first "kid" to be included in Vanity Fair's prestigious annual music issue. He recently entered "The Guinness Book of World Records" as the youngest solo rapper to hit #1 on the U.S. charts.
Lil Bow Wow will star in the upcoming Fox film "Like Mike" as a kid who finds a pair of magic sneakers that give him the basketball prowess of Michael Jordan. "Like Mike" is set for release in June 2002, the same month Bow Wow is scheduled to launch his very own line of hip kid's clothing under the moniker "Lil Bow Wear."
