NEW YORK, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records is releasing The Pledge Of Allegiance Tour Live Concert Recording, a sonic document of some of the most riveting performances from the historic hardcore aggro-music festival tour of 2001. Artists on the album include System Of A Down, Slipknot, Mudvayne, American Head Charge, and No One. The Pledge Of Allegiance Tour Live Concert Recording is in stores on Tuesday, March 26.

For seven mind-bending weeks in September-October 2001, System Of A Down and Slipknot joined forces with some of America's heaviest new bands for the very first "Pledge Of Allegiance" metal touring festival. The inaugural tour of what promises to be an annual event, the Pledge Of Allegiance Tour 2001 drew thousands of hardcore metalheads to blistering performances of tracks from the hit albums Toxicity (System Of A Down) and Iowa (Slipknot) while introducing fans to the hottest new acts of the genre.

The Pledge Of Allegiance Tour Live Concert Recording captures the skullcrunching highlights of one particularly ferocious performance at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, on October 9, 2001. With the exception of the two Mudvayne tracks (which have been taken from the DVD/VHS "L(ive) D(osage) 50 - Live In Peoria"), all of the tracks on the album were recorded live as they happened that autumn night in Illinois.
