L.E.I. Jeans and Davidoff Cool Water Present The Young Pop Power Tour Featuring Solange, Play, & Devin

U.S. Mall Tour Kicks Off Sunday, March 10 In North Riverside, Illinois

Music World Music/Columbia Records labelmates -- neo-soul singer Solange, the Swedish pop quartet Play, and singing sensation Devin -- are joining forces to rock the malls of America as L.E.I. Jeans and Davidoff Cool Water Present The Young Pop Power (YPP) Tour, kicking off Sunday, March 10 at the North Riverside Mall in North Riverside, Illinois (see itinerary following). At each YPP mall concert, a contest will be held to fly a lucky winner to see the YPP Tour open for Destiny's Child in London on June 8. The YPP concerts are designed to introduce fans to the hottest up-and-coming young sounds in contemporary music and are absolutely free.

In addition to appearances in the center courts of the country's shopping malls, the YPP tour will include stops at various junior high schools along the tour itinerary, working with the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) to spread a "Music -- My Anti-Drug" message. There will be major radio tie-ins to the YPP tour in each market (see itinerary): Chicago (KISS 103.5); Philadelphia (Philly 103.9); New York (Z100); Los Angeles (KIIS FM 102.7); Seattle (KISS 106.1).

Get ready to meet Solange Knowles, the ultra-talented teenager who's about to set the world a-blaze with her extraordinary voice, sophisticated moves and striking sense of style. Trained in classical ballet and modern dance, she has been dancing professionally for four years, having most recently spent a year as a key dancer with Destiny's Child, the enormously successful singing group led by her older sister, Beyonce. Solange spent the summer of 2001 hosting the very first MTV TRL Tour and has been featured on "Queen Latifah," "Rosie O'Donnell," MTV's "Mandy Moore Show" and Lil Bow Wow's "Puppy Love" video. She sings (with backing vocals by Destiny's Child) the theme song for "Proud Family," a new weekly animated series on the Disney Channel and can be heard singing "Solo Star" from the soundtrack to "Osmosis Jones," a film featuring Chris Rock. Solange sings "Scooby Doo," the first single and title track from the much-anticipated live-action film. Her eagerly-awaited debut solo album, Solo Star, is due in stores June 25 from World Music World/Columbia Records.

Play is: Anaus Lameche (birth date: 8/19/1987), Rosie Munter (9/26/1987), Faye Hamlin (10/23/1987) and Anna Sundstrand (2/22/1989). The Swede teens performed on the Radio Disney Live! World Tour 2001 last September and joined the "TEENick Present's Aaron's Party" touring cavalcade last summer. This vibrant teenage vocal quartet is currently burning up the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Sales chart with "Us Against The World," the first single and title track from the Swedish foursome's hotly-anticipated debut album. Produced by Rick Wake, Evans & Sturken, Hit Vision and Anders "BAG" Bagge and Arnthor Birgisson--Us Against The World is due in stores on June 4.

Devin is an 18-year-old singing sensation from San Bernardino, California. A former freshman high school president, Devin enjoys spending her free time writing songs, singing and dancing. One of her early songs, "I Want To Kiss You," appears on the "Big Momma's House" soundtrack. With her incredible combination of powerfully soulful vocals, fantastic songwriting skills, and charismatic looks, Devin is a budding star to watch in 2002. Her debut album, Set Me Free, a stunning collection of infectious dance songs and heartfelt ballads, is set for release later this year.
