Screenblast, an online service for creating, sharing and enhancing digital media, today unveiled "Digital Soundclash" (TheAngel.Screenblast.com). Developed in close collaboration with critically acclaimed music producer and artist, The Angel, Screenblast's newest offering delivers a powerful, interactive digital music production studio to music enthusiasts for their computers and digital devices.
"Digital Soundclash" gives music enthusiasts unprecedented access to the software, inspiration and know-how needed to create their own music, as well as access to an innovative artist to collaborate with. The Angel has created ten exclusive "MusicPacks" containing original loops and elements for consumers to download and build their own songs. The Angel also has brought in collaborators E-Sassin, Ming & FS and DeadZone among others, to create a variety of musical styles. Additionally, users can experiment, interact and remix The Angel's own music with the Digital Soundclash Music Creator, starting with 'Make It Betta' taken from her album 'No Gravity' featuring Tre Hardson (The Pharcyde).
"Since I first started making music, technology has been an enabler for my artistic expression. Today the computer serves as the new digital recording environment, making it accessible for anyone interested in music to immerse themselves in the creative experience," said The Angel. "In collaborating with Screenblast on Digital Soundclash, I wanted to provide an online area where people wouldn't be afraid to try something new and where music lovers of all levels could create, swap loops, collaborate, try different things -- and find their voice."
Recognized for pioneering a sound that is both urban and electronic, The Angel's credits include producer, remixer, composer and artist and spans many genres. Her discography includes solo and collaborative original projects, remixes, film scores and productions. The Angel has charted unparalleled ground as a woman in a male-dominated business and brings her innovative approach and sensibility to Screenblast.
"Screenblast and pioneering artists like The Angel are working to create environments that are fun and inspiring for making music," said Andrew Schneider, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Screenblast. "Not long ago, there were significant barriers for creating music. But, we've leveraged today's technology, the Screenblast Creation Suite software and an online service for virtually anyone to make an album of music -- or simply a soundtrack for their home movie."
At launch, Digital Soundclash will feature: -- Original MusicPacks created by The Angel: Each month, new MusicPacks (each containing ten original loops created exclusively by The Angel for Screenblast) will launch for users to download and mix into their own creations using Screenblast Acid. -- Collaborate with The Angel: The Angel will selectively critique and review user submissions, providing valuable professional feedback on their individual creative showcases. -- The Angel Creator's Show: The Angel's Creator's Show provides insight and inspiration as she takes users inside her creative mind, giving users new perspective on the creative process. -- Digital Soundclash Music Creator: From The Angel's No Gravity release, users can remix the "Make It Betta" track from the No Gravity album (featuring the vocals of Tre Hardson) with the help of the Music Creator.
In the coming months, instructional, how-to tutorials with The Angel will rollout on Digital Soundclash.
