Gracenote Extends Agreement With RealNetworks to Bring Digital Music Recognition to Consumer Electronics, PCs
Agreement Pairs RealOne™ And Gracenote CDDB® Music Recognition Service(SM) in Online And Offline Media Players

Gracenote, a leading provider of music infrastructure technologies, today announced a multi-year renewal of its agreement with RealNetworks®, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNWK), the global leader in Internet media delivery. RealNetworks will incorporate the latest, more accurate and robust version of Gracenote's signature CDDB service in future versions of the RealOne Player.
The agreement expands RealNetworks' license to include the Gracenote CDDB Music Recognition Service in customized RealOne Player Software for consumer electronics products and offline hardware devices, including car stereos and digital jukeboxes. RealNetworks will also be able to offer Gracenote technology to third-party developers, use the Gracenote development toolkit, and distribute Gracenote's embedded recognition service and database for offline consumer electronics devices.
