America's Greatest Rock & Roll Band's Columbia Records and Geffen Records
Catalogs PLUS Two Brand New Songs

                        In Stores Tuesday, July 2

NEW YORK, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records is releasing O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits, the first-ever Aerosmith hits collection to include the absolute best from America's Greatest Rock & Roll Band's Columbia Records and Geffen Records catalogs as well as two brand-new tracks -- "Girls of Summer" and "Lay It Down" -- recorded specially for this monumental compilation. Available in four different 3-D action covers, O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits is in stores Tuesday, July 2.

Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the group's first signing with Columbia Records, O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits brings together 30 indisputable rock classics from a band that remains as potent and viable today as they were on their very first records. In addition to hits running from 1972's "Dream On" through 2001's "Jaded" and beyond, O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits includes all four of Aerosmith's Grammy-winning singles -- "Janie's Got A Gun" (1990), "Livin' On The Edge" (1993), "Crazy," and the "South Beach Mix" of "Pink" (1998).

O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits comes at another peak in the amazing career of Aerosmith. Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, Aerosmith was recently selected for an MTV "Icon" event and is the subject of a special VH1 2-hour "Behind The Music" episode, premiering July 5. Aerosmith is one of only five artists to have received the American Music Awards prestigious International Artist Award. The group will perform live at the World Cup in Japan on June 27 and will embark on a major tour in August.

Having sold more than 75 million albums in the U.S. over the course of a career spanning three decades, Aerosmith has not merely survived and thrived, they've transcended the fads and follies of their times to become the most enduring, and perpetually exciting, force in American rock music. Obliterating the generation gap, Aerosmith has a rabid fan-base ranging in age from six to sixty and are the only rock & roll band to get consistent airplay on MTV and the classic rock radio outlets.

For the past 30 years, Aerosmith has spearheaded some of the most important trends in pop music--from groundbreaking early 70s heavy metal to the invention of the power-ballad (1972's "Dream On") to the first rock/rap synthesis (1986's "Walk This Way" with Run-DMC). And, as the years rock & roll by, Aerosmith continue to rack up awards, RIAA platinum sales, honors and hit records, a feat made all the more remarkable by the fact that they're still doing it all with the original line-up--Steven Tyler (vocals), Joe Perry (guitar), Brad Whitford (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass) and Joey Kramer (drums)- -that came together to cut the very first Aerosmith album some thirty years ago.
