Michelle Williams, solo artist and Destiny's Child member, has come aboard the BK Got Music Summer Soul Tour starring Luther Vandross. Other artists on the tour include Angie Stone and Gerald LeVert.
Released on April 6, 2002, Heart To Yours, Michelle Williams' debut solo album on Music World Music/Columbia Records, debuted on the Top 200 Album Sales chart at #57. In July, the album rose to the #1 slot on the SoundScan Gospel Album Sales chart and is still charting in the Top 10.
Since welcoming Michelle Williams to the group in February 2000, Destiny's Child has taken home Grammy Awards, Soul Train Awards including the Sammy Davis, Jr. Award for Entertainer of the Year (2001), Billboard Music Awards including Artist of the Year (2000, 2001), American Music Awards, a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Singing Group (2001), Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Duo or Group (2001, 2002). Over the course of the group's career, Destiny's Child has sold more than 20 million albums and 8 million singles worldwide.
