Screenblast, Sony Pictures Digital's (SPD) leading end-to-end digital creativity brand, today announced the nationwide retail launch of its award-winning digital media software -- Screenblast Movie Studio and Screenblast Music Studio (suggested retail price $69 each). The software, launching on retail shelves in time for this year's highly-anticipated, digital gift-giving season, debuts nationwide this week at retailers including Best Buy, CompUSA, Micro Center, Sony Style and Sony Gallery, as well as online at Amazon.com.

Today's announcement complements Screenblast's online service offering, which launched September 2001, creating the first complete digital creativity solution in the marketplace.

Consumers quickly learn with the help of built-in tutorials and can add exclusive video clips, borders and illustrations to their videos from the accompanying CD. Fun ideas -- such as how to make a silent movie or old-time Western -- also are included to help the user get started.

Consumers can customize their music with professional effects such as EQ, reverb and delay, utilize DJ tools such as the Beatmapper™ wizard for perfectly smooth transitions or use the video track to insert a video file for scoring purposes. Hundreds of music clips also are included on the enclosed CD to add to any music creation plus the bonus software offering -- Screenblast SIREN™ Jukebox Deluxe.
