Silvertone recording artists Indigenous are gearing up to tour this summer in support of their new self-titled CD, in stores July 22. The Tour will begin on June 24th in Tulsa, OK and run through October (see below for full itinerary). Indigenous marks a bold new progression of the infused style of rock and blues that have garnered Indigenous much critical acclaim. The New York Times raved "straight blues elevated to spectacular heights." While the New York Post exclaimed "the band from the Great Plains has crashed the big time by doing the Ghost Dance with Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan." Indigenous have performed with such musical icons as Bob Dylan, Santana, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, and more.
"C'mon Suzie," the first single from Indigenous was shipped to Triple A and Mainstream radio on May 19. "C'mon Suzie" is benefiting from sizeable airplay on WXPN (Philadelphia), WXRV (Boston), WXRT (Chicago), WRLT (Nashville), WCTY (Omaha), WKOC (Norfolk), WDST (Poughkeepsie), and more. This hook laden song captures Mato's remarkable, raw guitar virtuosity and infectious, soulful vocals in a performance that encapsulates the distinctive sound of Indigenous.
