With a glossy black profile barely thicker than a flat panel monitor, Sony's new VAIO® PCV-V100G all-in-one desktop adds an element of cool to even the smallest space.

The latest addition to Sony's award-winning, all-in-one PC line offers powerful computing and entertainment options in a body that resembles an LCD TV. That's no coincidence as the V100G PC doubles as a TV with Sony's exclusive Giga Pocket® personal video recorder.
The included wireless keyboard and mouse give users maximum flexibility whether they decide to work on a spread sheet or put the keyboard away and watch TV using the elegant remote control.
"VAIO PCs have never been about following. With innovative software and breathtaking design, VAIO PCs have always made a statement," said Hideyuki Furumi, general manager of VAIO product marketing for Sony Electronics. "The VAIO V100G PC challenges standard ideas of what PCs should look like, what they should do and where they should reside."
The PC can be set up in a matter of seconds with only a power cord to plug in. Weighing in at less than 17 pounds, the unit can easily be moved from room to room. The slim casing fronted by a built-in bright 15-inch LCD, fits in a fraction of the space of a full-sized notebook. And the integrated DVD/CD-RW drive allows for DVD viewing virtually anywhere in the house.
More than just a pretty face, the PC provides processing muscle with an Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 2.40 GHz and an 80 GB hard drive that can house hours of music and other personal digital content. It also comes equipped with the VAIO Creation Suite Plus, including PictureGear Studio™ software for managing digital images and creating photo albums; SonicStage™ Mastering Studio software, which allows users to digitize aging analog music sources such as vinyl records and tapes with professional recording studio features; and DVgate Plus™ video editing software.
Currently standard on all current VAIO PCs is Sony's own VAIO Media™ software that allows users to share images, music and video content between PCs over a wired or wireless home network. The PC also has a Memory Stick® media slot that is compatible with both Memory Stick and Memory Stick PRO™ media, as well as two USB 2.0 ports and an i.LINK® (IEEE 1394) port to connect compatible multimedia devices.
The VAIO V100G desktop, which is expected to retail for about $1,600, will be available this month at select retailers and online at www.sonystyle.com .
