SoapCity® Adds Fan-Favorite Classic Episodes to Its Download Service

SoapCity, (www.SoapCity.com) has added thematic classic packages of the most scandalous, memorable and joyous episodes from the archives of "The Young and the Restless," "Days of our Lives" and "As the World Turns" to its popular download service. The announcement was made today by Mary Coller, senior vice president and general manager of SoapCity.

Many of the classic packs will be thematic, dedicated to the greatest moments from these popular daytime dramas -- from weddings to catfights and the most memorable performances of their enduring stars. Thanks to SoapCity, fans are also able to vote to determine which themes, stars and episodes they would like represented in these special packages.

"This new offering is the only way for passionate soap fans to enjoy the best moments of the past -- their favorite stars, in their favorite situations," says Coller. "It's another way that SoapCity is leading one of America's longest-running entertainment platforms into the digital era."

During the month of November, SoapCity will offer special value packs for "The Young and the Restless" and "Days of our Lives." Each will contain four (4) classic episodes and will be priced at $6.99 for the pack or $1.99 per individual episode.

SoapCity's download service provides current day, full-length, commercially uninterrupted episodes of "The Young and the Restless," "Days of our Lives," and "As the World Turns" to broadband computer users. The download service is available to U.S. broadband users only at www.soapcity.com at a monthly subscription of $9.99 per show (including up to 28 prior episodes as well as the upcoming episodes for the month purchased) or on a pay-per-episode basis at $1.99.

SoapCity's download service offers VCR functionality enables viewers to stop, start, fast-forward, rewind and pause their episode. Daily episodes will be posted every weekday at 4 p.m. (PT) and new classic value packs will be posted through-out the month as they become available. Using the RealOne™ Player, subscribers may view the current episode or one they may have missed up to four weeks back. Consumers can watch unlimited viewings of their downloaded episodes at their convenience on their computer for up to 28 days. The RealOne player is available to SoapCity users at no cost.
