Casting Call for New James L. Brooks Movie in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 9, 2003

Casting Director Matt Casella will be holding auditions on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 in the Terraces Room of the Sportsman's Lodge for Columbia Pictures' upcoming production "Spanglish" from Oscar®-winning writer/director James. L Brooks ("Terms of Endearment," "As Good as it Gets"). The cross-cultural comedy/drama stars Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni, Anne Bancroft and Paz Vega.

Written and directed by Brooks, the film began production this fall in Los Angeles. "Spanglish" is the story of a Latina mother and daughter who move to Los Angeles and confront both the opportunities and challenges that life in the United States presents.

Casella will be casting for the role of Sandler and Leoni's daughter: a 12-15 year old strong comedic actress.

Casella, who recently conducted a worldwide talent search for the upcoming live-action feature film "Peter Pan," previously scouted talent for The Walt Disney Co., where he discovered and directed Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell, Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and J.C. Chasez of N'Sync, among others.

The casting call will commence at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and run until 6 p.m. in the Terraces Room. The Sportsman's Lodge is located at 12825 Ventura Boulevard (at Coldwater Canyon), Studio City, CA, 91604.
