Britney Spears 'Toxic' #1 Played Song in the Country

Jive Recording artist Britney Spears' "Toxic" is the #1 most played song in the US according to both Billboard Airplay Monitor and Radio & Records. The charts will be printed March 12. "Toxic" moves from *2-*1 on both charts. "Toxic" is the 2nd single off the In The Zone album which is over 2X platinum.

This is Britney Spears' first #1 song since " ... Oops I Did It Again" in 2000. The video for Toxic is one of the most played songs at MTV and VH-1.

Britney Spears also has the #1 song in the UK and her album has just gone platinum in the UK as well. "Toxic" is also the #1 most played song in Canada, Mexico and Belgium.

Britney's 2nd leg of "The Onyx Hotel" tour will kick-off in Hartford, CT and travel to more than 30 cities in the U.S.

A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to The Britney Spears Foundation.
