Candy Butchers to Perform at WFUV-Sponsored Show in NYC At Joe's Pub on Wednesday, June 9 at 9:30 PM

Candy Butchers, who just wrapped up an 18-city tour, will be performing at a WFUV-FM Radio sponsored show at Joe's Pub in New York City on June 9 at 9:30 pm. The band will also be performing live on WFUV the morning of June 9th on the station's "City Folk Morning" program with Claudia Marshall. "Nice To Know You," the first single from their latest release, HANG ON MIKE, has been on rotation at WFUV and received an enthusiastic response from the station's listeners. In addition to the New York show, Candy Butchers will also be appearing in Philadelphia at The Point on Friday, June 11 at 7 PM opening for Ben Arnold.

HANG ON MIKE, released on RPM Record, features 12 tracks all written by Candy Butchers frontman, Mike Viola. Entertainment Weekly commented, "This is power pop...at its finest. A-" and Performing Songwriter noted, "...his songs resonate with new depths of emotions and they're shaped with classic elegant lines."
