Sony Computer Entertainment America Celebrates a Decade of Music and Videogames With Sponsorship of Vans Warped Tour®

PlayStation® Time Warp Tent Brings Back the Best of Videogames Past and Provides a Glimpse of Titles Bound for Future Fame

They said it wouldn't last, but being together for 10 years has further fortified the relationship between music and videogames. As a pioneer in bridging the gap between the two entertainment mediums, Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. celebrated its unwavering commitment today by announcing its 10-year anniversary sponsorship of the 2004 Vans Warped Tour. The tour will commence its summer-long jaunt in Houston on June 25, and conclude with a special finale show in Boston on August 20.

In commemoration of a decade of videogames and music, the PlayStation® Time Warp tent takes gamers down memory lane with PlayStation hits from the past and a sneak peek of the what's next in videogame entertainment. Tour-goers can sample the latest and soon to be released PlayStation®2 software titles such as Syphon Filter®: The Omega Strain, God of War™, Hot Shots Golf® Fore!, and EyeToy™: Groove, as well as relive some of the classics from PlayStation platforms.

"The PlayStation Time Warp tent brings back the best of the classics including videogame favorites, a flashback photo area of past Warped Tours, and PlayStation exclusive reunion collectables."

Vans Warped Tour fans will once again have the opportunity to live life as a roadie through the "PlayStation 2 Warped Tour Roadie" radio promotion, which will run in select markets on the tour's schedule as it crosses the country. Winners will embark on a four-day stint as a roadie, encompassing all aspects of the tour including working in production, ticketing, catering, and in the PlayStation Time Warp tent. The behind-the-scenes journey will conclude with an all access pass to the festival on the winner's last day as a Warped Tour Roadie.

Making more than 45 stops across the continent and known as America's longest running touring festival, this year's line-up includes: Good Charlotte, Lillix, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Bad Religion, and a host of other bands. In honor of the 10-year anniversary of the tour, the final show in Boston will feature a reunion of bands that performed in year's past on the Vans Warped Tour.
