Consumers to Come Out in Record Numbers As They Line Up to Be the First to Get

   WHO:      Carson Daly, PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) handheld
             entertainment system and special guests.

   WHAT:     To kick off the first sales of the highly anticipated PSP in
             the United States, Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.
             (SCEA) will join forces with Carson Daly on March 23 to host a
             premiere party for the midnight opening of the Sony Style Store
             in New York City.  The midnight opening will be one of the
             first chances for consumers to get their hands on the most
             desired product this year.  A record number of consumers are
             expected to come out on March 24 to be the first to purchase
             PSP -- the first truly integrated portable entertainment device
             that features games, movies, music, photos and wireless
             connectivity all in one sleek package.

             SCEA President and Chief Executive Officer Kaz Hirai will be
             on-hand to officially open the doors to Sony Style at midnight,
             kicking off the first sales of the PSP in North America.  Prior
             to doors opening at midnight, consumers will be treated to
             sneak peeks of new games, giveaways, surprise appearances and
             more.
