Sony Computer Entertainment America Continues to Support Summer's Hottest Music Tours Across the Country

Longstanding PlayStation® Sponsored OZZfest and Vans Warped Tour Make Nationwide Stops Bringing a Variety of Music to the Masses

As temperatures climb and reach scorching highs, the summer music scene will too reach its pinnacle with the help of Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc. As a veteran music tour sponsor, Sony Computer Entertainment America caters to a wide-range of fans with different tastes in musical genres with the metal/rock of OZZfest and the staple of punk music, the Vans Warped Tour.

OZZfest and the Vans Warped Tour are the two longest running music tours in the country. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, OZZfest will make 27 stops across the country between July 15 and Sept. 4, featuring a line-up including the original Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Rob Zombie, Mudvayne and Velvet Revolver. Already on the road, the Vans Warped Tour kicked off its 11th year on June 18 and will make more than 40 stops nationwide through August 15. Sponsored from inception by PlayStation, the Vans Warped Tour will bring Billy Idol, The Offspring and Simple Plan, along with more than 40 other bands to the stage at tour stops nationwide.

Both summer tours will allow fans to experience the excitement of these events up-close and personal. The "PlayStation Warped Tour Roadie" promotion will give 10 lucky winners the opportunity to join the Vans Warped Tour on select stops, joining the team in a number of different roles from production to catering. On their final tour stop, the "roadie" will get to enjoy the fruits of their labor and take the day off to enjoy the show. For OZZfest, radio promotions in 20 markets will select a total of 200 winners to be part of the PlayStation Metal Sanctuary. Winners will receive a PlayStation Metal Sanctuary "survival pack," including a PlayStation/OZZfest 2005 tour jacket, access to the OZZfest VIP club and other OZZfest and PlayStation branded merchandise.

These PlayStation sponsored summer music tours will give gamers hands-on time with the hottest portable entertainment system on the market, PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) entertainment system. Tour goers can look for the PlayStation® Experience, a 77-foot truck turned videogame arcade that features a new PSP Bar, competition stage, Gran Turismo™4 Pit and EyeToy ™ Zone, providing off-stage entertainment for tour goers. The PlayStation Experience will be accompanying the OZZfest tour for the majority of stops, while Warped Tour fans can visit the PlayStation tent, which will provide an oasis of PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and PSP gaming opportunities. PlayStation 2 software titles on display include Gran Turismo 4, God of War™, MLB® 2006, EyeToy: Play 2™ and SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs. Street teams around the PlayStation tent will bring PSP to the Warped Tour masses, featuring new and soon-to-be-released PSP titles, including ATV Offroad Fury®: Blazin' Trails, Wipeout® Pure, Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee™, Twisted Metal™: Head-On, and MediEvil Resurrection™.

Although the weather will cool off in the fall, PlayStation sponsored music events will continue to provide temperature-raising entertainment through the end of the year.
