PlayStation® Presents Breed Love Odyssey, Featuring Hip-Hop Pioneers Mos Def and Talib Kweli at More Than 20 Tour Stops Across the Country

Sony Computer Entertainment America, in conjunction with House of Blues®, today announced the show dates and routing of the PlayStation® Presents Breed Love Odyssey tour. Co-headliners hip-hop artists Mos Def and Talib Kweli will perform across the country at intimate club settings accompanied by an eclectic line-up of up-and-coming hip-hop artists including Pharoahe Monch, K'Naan and Jean Grae. The tour will make its first stop in Sacramento on October 28 and will conclude in New York City in December.

At each stop of the Breed Love Odyssey tour, PlayStation will give concertgoers an opportunity to experience multimedia entertainment with one of the hottest items on the market today, the PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system. Street teams will be at each tour stop to showcase stunning PSP gameplay, as well as video and music playing capabilities. In addition, the first 50 attendees who show us their PSP systems at the event will receive a copy of the PSP software title NBA '06, and a CONNECT Cash™ card worth 25 song downloads, an approximate value of $65*. Moreover, all attendees will receive a card redeemable for an EXCLUSIVE Mos Def download from the CONNECT Store.

Mos Def and Talib Kweli first teamed up in 1998 as the critically acclaimed Black Star, and from there, both artists embarked on solo careers that continue to flourish. Kweli's Right About Now, his highly anticipated follow-up album to The Beautiful Struggle, will be released in late November under the Blacksmith Music Corp label and Mos' most recent album, The New Danger, received a Grammy® nomination. Beyond his hip-hop talents, Mos has broadened his career in television, film and stage as host, music supervisor and co-executive producer for the HBO series Def Poetry, as a frequent guest on Comedy Central's "Chappelle's Show" and with his Broadway debut in 2002 in the Tony nominated, Pulitzer Prize winning Topdog/Underdog. In 2004, Mos Def starred in the critically acclaimed HBO movie Something the Lord Made, for which he received nominations for an Emmy, a Golden Globe Award, an NAACP Award and a Golden Satellite Award. His big screen roles include those in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and The Italian Job, both recently released on UMDTM (Universal Media Disc) for PSP.
