Today, in Washington DC, The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) will present R & B Sensation, Frankie J with an RIAA Award for Platinum ringtone success with his chart topping single, "Obsession," in addition to acknowledging Platinum success with hit album, "The One" on Columbia Records.

The award ceremony will take place at the RIAA building where Frankie will perform a few acoustic songs from his highly anticipated forthcoming new album, "Priceless," which is scheduled to be released on October 17th. Frankie J will be performing for the entire RIAA in-house staff, local press and Capitol Hill staffers. The RIAA presents the Platinum Awards program in an effort to create a standard by which to measure sales of a sound recording.

Since making an impressive mark onto the scene as a solo artist in 2003, Frankie J has been a steady on the Billboard Top 10 charts with 5 hit singles from his debut album, "What's a Man To Do" (2003) and his certified Platinum, sophomore effort, "The One" (2005). Earlier this year, Frankie J released a Spanish album titled, "Un Nuevo Dia," featuring chart topping single, "Pensando en Ti."

Frankie J is now preparing to take center stage once again, with his third solo album, "Priceless," in stores October 17, a 12-track masterpiece showcasing the range of his vocal and musical talents. The R & B singer boasts writing credits for every song, while sharing co-songwriting and production chores with such award-winning hit makers as Mannie Fresh, Bryan Michael Cox, Star Gate, Ne-Yo, Play N Skillz, Happy Perez, Adonis and guest appearances by artists such as Chamillionaire, Slim from 112 and Bone Thugs & Harmony.
