Australian rock band Augie March are about to embark on an 18-city tour of the U.S. and Canada. They begin their trek with Andrew Bird on September 10th in Knoxville, TN, and then pick up on tour with The Aliens beginning September 17th in Philadelphia, PA. The trip wraps up with an appearance at LA Weekly's Detour Festival in downtown Los Angeles October 6th.
Earlier this month, Augie March's debut album, Moo, You Bloody Choir was released in the U.S. receiving outstanding reviews. Entertainment Weekly says, "As far as current Australian bands go, Melbourne's Augie March is that country's great pop-rock hope," while Filter adds, "Just about every track is thick with lyrical poignancy, humor and heart-breaking imagery."
The band recently performed their first single "One Crowded Hour" on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson and were guests on NPR's World Cafe performing several other tracks from the album.
