Columbia Records is ready to release Stand Out Live, the new full-length concert DVD from the chart-topping contemporary gospel singer/songwriter/performer Tye Tribbett and his gospel choir/musical ensemble, G.A. (Greater Anointing). Stand Out Live will be available in stores and online Tuesday, November 4.

Tye Tribbett & G.A. have been recently nominated for a pair of Stellar Awards (one of American Gospel Music's most prestigious honors): CD of the Year and Choir of the Year for the Stand Out album. The 2008-2009 24th Annual Stellar Awards ceremony will be held at the historic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, January 17, 2009.

Tye Tribbett's Stand Out Live DVD is a state-of-the-art visual companion to the artist's latest best-selling CD, Stand Out, which entered the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart at #1, and the Billboard Top 200 at #16, shortly after its release in May 2008.

Recorded live at Rock Church International in Virginia Beach on August 17, 2007, (the same historic concert captured on the Stand Out CD), Stand Out Live showcases a variety of high-energy musical testimonies to the Power of the Word and the Glory of the Holy Spirit, each written or co-written by Tye Tribbett, including "Stand Out," "Hold On," "Bless The Lord (Son Of Man)," "I Need You," "Jesus I Love Your Name," "Jesus, The Mention Of Your Name," "Look Up," "He Has Made Me Glad," "I Made It Through," "Prodigal Son," "Hallelujah Medley," "Chasing After You (The Morning Song)," and "Well Done."

Stand Out Live debuts a selection of exclusive bonus features for fans of Tye Tribbett & G.A. including "Meet The Tribbetts," "Meet SoundCheck" (Tye's production entity), the fabled "Beach Party Concert," a revelatory behind-the-scenes section, Tye's "Stand Out: The Message" mission statement, and the "Good In The Hood" music video. In addition, the DVD includes a Q&A with Tye and SoundCheck as well as commentary with Tye Tribbett.

Stand Out Live is executive produced by Tye Tribbett & Chauncey Childs.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, Tye Tribbett is the son of two preachers...both his mother and father wore the cloth...and Tye himself, a loving husband and father of two daughters, has responded to the Call, going on to minister through his music and the Living Word. Growing up surrounded by hymns and gospel music, Tye learned to make music at an early age. "I've been playing all my life," he explains. "Before I knew my ABC's, I knew the ABC's on the keys." As a teenager, he honed his skills as a keyboardist by accompanying such regional notables as Steve Middleton, the late James Viner and the Tri-State Mass Choir of the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar.

In 1996, Tye founded a gospel choir, Greater Anointing (G.A.), consisting of a group of family and friends whose hearts were set simply on praising the Creator through the gift of great music. Tye knew from the beginning they'd tapped into something real and glorious. "That first rehearsal blew my mind," he says. "The musicianship, the quality of the voices and the spirit of the choir, the character of everybody...I knew that this was it. I knew that this is what I was supposed to be doing."

Released this past May, Tribbett's Stand Out album marked the artist's second straight #1 Gospel debut, following the precedent established by Victory Live!, which entered the Top Gospel Albums chart at #1 after its release in May 2006.

A crossover success, Stand Out debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top 200, readily surpassing Victory Live!'s peak (#64) on that chart. Driven by the #1 Gospel Radio single, "Victory," Victory Live! earned Tribbett two Stellar Awards and three Grammy nominations: Best Gospel Performance ("Victory"); Best Gospel Song ("Victory"); and Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album.
