The Ting Tings Kick Off 2009 With New Tour and Single

The Ting Tings, one of the UK's most popular exports of 2008, are set to headline a national tour of North America. The 22 city tour will kick off in New York, NY on March 16th at Webster Hall and run through April 15th in San Francisco, CA at The Fillmore (see below for full itinerary). The Ting Tings live show is renowned for it's upbeat and enjoyable vibe, the Philadelphia Inquirer raved, "They are a stone cold gas, trading in kicky-cool, post-everything hybrid of punk, dance, pop and rap combined with an innate sexiness, impeccable style and an irrefutable 'get down' imperative."

The Ting Tings' debut album We Started Nothing shot straight to #1 on the UK album charts upon release early last year. Their next single, "That's Not My Name," will impact at Top 40 radio on January 27, 2009. The New York Times proclaims the song is "the band's most irresistible track so far." "That's Not My Name," a high-energy song complete with hand claps and chants, has garnered raves for its irrepressible and fetching tempo. USA Today called the track "a giddy ditty full of attitude," while Billboard proclaimed "'That's Not My Name' is a sassy singalong anthem." A US version of the video was lensed by the duo of Alex & Liane (Bloc Party, Sam Sparro) and will premiere sometime in February.

"That's Not My Name" will be featured on the WB's hit show 90210 on January 20, 2009. The band's music has also been featured on Ugly Betty, CSI NY, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Gossip Girl, Paris Hilton My New BFF, VH1's Best Week Ever and Numb3rs. Their music has also been featured around the major motion pictures Slumdog Millionaire, He's Just Not That Into You and American Teen.
