Brooklyn synth-pop trio Chairlift is pleased to announce an upcoming US tour with The Killers. The band has currently been on a tour across North America with YACHT, Sebastian Tellier and Peter, Bjorn and John, and will now join The Killers in support of their forthcoming Columbia Records debut, Does You Inspire You, out today, April 21st.

Following the success of their indie label-released debut and an iPod commercial featuring their song "Bruises," Chairlift signed to Columbia Records. For their major label debut, Chairlift remixed and mastered Does You Inspire You, while adding two new tracks, "Dixie Gypsy", and "Le Flying Saucer Hat", both of which were originally intended for the debut. The band will also be hitting the summer festival circuit, performing at this year's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, All Points West and Lollapalooza. Dates below.

"On their debut album, this Brooklyn trio reveal they've got some bite: Singer Caroline Polachek delivers PJ Harvey-worthy tales about coke-addled boyfriends, mice-infested apartments and having sex in a 'forest full of lungs' with her sweet, opera-trained voice. The tunes go down smooth, ranging from breezy exercises in Eighties-excess synth pop to country-tinged reveries." - Rolling Stone

"Besotted with reverb drenched synthetic lushness, they flit from uncanny new-wave caricatures to beguiling heroin country ballads, nodding deeply to David Lynch's Angelo Badalamenti-scored oeuvre." - SPIN - Top 40 Albums of 2008

"Aesthetics, ecology and intergalactic millinery: welcome to the dawning of the age of Chairlift." - NME Radar

"...this trio anchors their roots in the same soil that Cocteau Twins, Kate Bush and the Cure cultivated and called home." - Venus Zine

"Chairlift possess that rare charm that transcends any self-aware genre or calculated scene...the album's cool temperature is balanced by the uplift of its exalted riffs and melodies - overall, an inspirational debut." - BUST

"Chairlift's spooky approach to pop sets them apart from some of their contemporaries." - Under The Radar "Pleased To Meet You" Artist
