Sony Electronics supports today's initiative by the Federal Communications Commission to consider the reclassification of broadband Internet access services under a limited, 'light-touch' regulatory structure.

This initiative is an important first step in restoring the delicate balance of investment incentives required for the Internet to continue as a platform for the delivery of content, services and applications to consumers.
