"IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW" OUT SEPTEMBER 25, 2012

NEW YORK, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Columbia Records is pleased to announce that UK pop sensation Olly Murs will release his US debut album, IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW, on September 25, 2012. The release includes Olly's debut US single, "Heart Skips A Beat," featuring hip-hop duo Chiddy Bang. The music video can be viewed here: http://youtu.be/fqXWsFg7tI8. IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW is currently available for pre-order (see details below).

Olly Murs' rise to fame began after he auditioned in 2009 for Britain's top singing competition show, The X Factor, with "Superstition." Simon Cowell said it inspired "the easiest yes I've ever given." In a short amount of time Murs has achieved international success, including two double platinum albums and three #1 singles in the UK. The British Superstar, to date, has sold over 4 million records internationally.

IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW is a hybrid of Olly's UK debut and sophomore album releases. Stand-out tracks on the album include the recent #1 UK Hit "Heart Skips A Beat," the conversational smash "Please Don't Let Me Go" and the up-tempo "Dance With Me Tonight." The album is personal, hearkening back to the music Murs once performed in his hometown of Essex - James Brown energy and soul, rough and ready rockabilly, showstopping ballads, ska infused doo-wop and old school retro.

Olly made his US television debut on Friday, June 15 on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno, performing "Heart Skips A Beat." Olly's performance can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/MiiVzq. Murs is currently touring the US as the special guest on One Direction's sold-out 2012 US Summer Tour (see below for the remaining dates).
