"Bandz A Make Her Dance," which Complex describes as "a clear standout anthem for the strip clubs" has been heating up the clubs all summer. The underground hit has made its way mainstream with the Village Voice calling Juicy J's performance "better than: everything ever."
Juicy J's rise to fame began in 1991 as one of the original members of platinum selling Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia. The group spawned an eclectic series of hits over their 20 year span including "Stay Fly," "Sippin On Some Sizzurp," "Lolli Lolli" and the Academy Award Winning "Hard Out Here For A Pimp." To date Three 6 Mafia has sold over 20 Million records worldwide.
Juicy J's first step toward independence was the 2009 mixtape, Realest Ni**a In The Game. Proving that he could stand on his own, he released a series of collaborative mixtapes including Rubba Band Business 1 & 2 with Lex Luger and the DJ Scream assisted Blue Dream & Lean: Reloaded. With total mixtape downloads in the millions and cameos from the likes of 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa and Lil Wayne, Juicy began focusing his efforts on his debut album.
Taylor Gang member Juicy J's debut solo album will be released via Columbia Records in partnership with Dr. Luke's new Kemosabe Records later this year.
"For me to be teaming up with Dr. Luke, Columbia Records & Wiz Khalifa (TGod) on my new solo album, I'm really excited for this. Were gonna call ourselves the Powerhouse 3. Look out for more." -Juicy J
Fans can catch Juicy this fall when he joins Wiz Khalifa and the rest of Taylor Gang on the "2050 Tour." (see below for full dates). Tickets for the 36-city tour are available via Wiz Khalifa's official site, www.wizkhalifa.com. Additional dates for the "2050 Tour" will be announced soon.
