Sony Electronics and Parsons The New School for Design Collaborate on Higher Education Photography Program

Program includes special training opportunities and extensive product loans for students

NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Sony Electronics and the School of Art, Media and Technology at Parsons The New School for Design have announced plans for a new "Higher Education Photography" program designed to enhance the overall educational experience for aspiring young photographers.

Highlights of the program, which will begin this winter, include:

    --  Education and Training:  New opportunities for students to interact with
        Sony's "Artisans of Imagery" group of professional photographers.  The
        elite group of photographers will provide students with exclusive
        insight into the world of professional photography and expanded
        understanding of classroom topics.
    --  Equipment Loan Pool:  Students will be granted special access and
        dedicated product service for the latest products and technologies from
        Sony's acclaimed Alpha line of digital cameras, lenses and accessories.
