NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Artists and recordings from Columbia Records have garnered 19 nominations in 17 GRAMMY® categories during the GRAMMY® Eligibility Year October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.  Nominations for the 56th Annual GRAMMY® Awards were announced in Los Angeles Friday, December 6 by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. The 56th Annual GRAMMY® Awards will be held at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS on January 26, 2014 at 8 pm ET/PT.

Daft Punk leads the Columbia Records pack this year with 5 nominations including Album of the Year, Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Engineered Album, Non Classical, as well as both Record of the Year and Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for "Get Lucky," featuring Pharrell Williams.

Other Columbia Records artists nominated for GRAMMY® Awards this year include David Bowie (3 nominations), Calvin Harris  and Jack White (2 nominations) and Adele, J.Cole, John Legend, Nine Inch Nails, The Civil Wars and Tony Bennett (1 nomination).  360 Sound: The Columbia Records Story has been nominated for Best Album Notes.
