Super-Producer Salaam Remi Premieres Music Video For "One In The Chamber" Featuring Akon On VEVO

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, celebrated GRAMMY-nominated producer and songwriter Salaam Remi is pleased to release the music video for his single "One In The Chamber," featuring GRAMMY-nominated, platinum recording artist Akon, on VEVO. This is the first video off Remi's newest album, Salaam Remi One: In The Chamber.

Robby Starbuck, who is known for his work with Snoop Dogg, Metric and Machine Gun Kelly, directed the cinematic clip. The video stars Akon in the middle of warring crime families, with Akon's love interest playing both sides. The video plays off the song's pained lyrics of complicated relationships with several shocking plot twists and an unexpected ending.

This past week, Salaam Remi received four nominations for the 2014 GRAMMY awards. He received three for his work with Miguel, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Mack Wilds. His own album, Salaam Remi One: In The Chamber, received a nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Released earlier this fall, the album will be repackaged in a deluxe edition, to be released in March 2014 through Flying Buddha/Sony Masterworks. The eclectic and richly orchestrated body of work features guest appearances by the likes of Ne-Yo, Corinne Bailey Rae, Stephen Marley, Jordin Sparks, among others.
