MKTO To Release Debut Album MKTO April 1, 2014

NEW YORK, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Celebrating the chart topping #1 album debut in Australia this past week, Columbia Records is pleased to announce the release of pop duo MKTO's self titled debut album MKTO on April 1, 2014. The release will include the band's anthemic debut single "Thank You," along with the current feel good soulful/pop single "Classic." MKTO is available for pre-order now and includes an instant download of both "Thank You" and "Classic," with additional tracks to be released counting down to the album release on April 1, 2014: MKTO are currently on the road opening for Emblem3 on the #BandLife Tour, see below for full list of dates.

The guys of MKTO, comprised of Tony Oller (22) and Malcolm Kelly (21) instantly became best friends when they first met on the Los Angeles set of Teen Nick's Gigantic in 2010. However, in between takes, the duo couldn't stop talking about one thing, making music. They linked with songwriters/producers Eman and Evan "Kidd" Bogart (Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Rihanna) who inked them a deal to Columbia Records and began executive producing their debut album. MKTO features the uplifting and kinetic "American Dream," "Could Be Me," a collaboration with Grammy Award winner Ne-Yo and culminates with the stunning "Goodbye Song". MKTO have seen international success with multi platinum top 10 singles in Australia and New Zealand, garnering a dedicated and loyal fanbase along the way and amassing over 1 million record sales worldwide.

"Classic" can be heard in the new episode of the hit show NEW GIRL airing on Tuesday, Feb. 11 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
