Further Support for 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief Efforts

Together with employee donations and matching donations, the total support from Sony will amount to approximately 130 million yen

Sony Group Corporation ("Sony") is providing additional donation to support relief efforts for the communities affected by the earthquake that struck the Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan on January 1, 2024.

As announced on January 5, Sony donated 40 million yen as emergency relief for the communities affected through the fund managed jointly with Save the Children Japan*1, and the Japanese Red Cross Society. *2

Subsequently, Sony has collected donations from employees at Sony Group companies in Japan and overseas, and following the participation of many employees, the total amount has reached approximately 40 million yen as of February 1. Together with employee donations, matching donations from Sony to the employee donations of approximately 40 million yen, additional support from Sony Group companies, and the previously announced 40 million yen, the total donation from Sony will amount to approximately 130 million yen. Sony will provide the additional donation for the Japanese Red Cross Society, Save the Children Japan, and other organizations.

Sony sends its sincerest condolences to all those affected and wishes for a full and swift recovery of the region.
